Eyes are one of the most important organs in the body. Eyes are classy, eyes are vibrant. They can visualize and can respond, they are the perfect gift of nature and the best friend of one’s face. They divide themselves into:

  • Kapha eyes: large, clear and sensational
  • Pitta eyes: razor-sharp, insightful and sensutuous
  • Vata eyes: timid, nervous with aligned dryness

As we grew, the eyes governed by Alochaka Pitta, a subdosha of Pitta become less balanced. So it is important to care for your eyes throughout life.

Prevention, the better step before cure happens by hearty care. Poor light strains while hot/cold water in extreme can be hazardous. Protect the gorgeous by applying almond, coconut, sesame oil around them. It scores double by preventing dark circles along with.

Dullness or dryness

Exasperance in kapha dosha results in jumbo dull eyes while enlarged vata causes dryness.

Easy solution

  • Apply few drops of honey, ghee or sesame oil
  • Add ½ teaspoon of fennel seeds +1 cup of water+ boil till 1/2ed+use as drops after cooling.
  • Relaxing foot massage after warm wash.

Tensed blood eyes

Aggravation of pitta dosha due to stress/fatigue, smoke/pollution or scanty sleep results bloody eyes.

Easy solution

  • Put 3 drops of rose water in eyes.
  • Soak cotton ball in rose water/milk/aloe-vera juice +apply for 10-20 mins.
  • Slices of cucumber can soothe.
  • Soak Amla overnight and rinse eyes with the same water.

Sight weakness

Weakness of alochaka pitta results into weak sight with age.

Easy solution:

  • Grind ½ cup almonds+ raw sugar+ aniseedsàmake 40 doses, take regularly each with lukewarm milk.
  • Indulge in vitamin-A giving foods (like papaya, eggs, fish etc.)
  • Rinse daily and rest after long work.
  • Cardamom+ 1 tablespoon honeyà eat regularly

Exercise to strengthen Eye muscles and release stress:

  • Sit in the easy pose with your legs comfortably crossed, keep neck and head in a straight line position. Look straight to the front at eye-level and breathe normally.
  • Stay for two seconds moving your eyes upward and in the same way look downwards and repeat the same process for other two seconds.
  • Now look to the right side to rear end for two seconds and later repeat it for the left side for other two seconds. Repeat it to the front again.
  • Rest your eyes closing for around 6-8 seconds.
  • This will complete one round of your exercise. Slowly start with 2-3 rounds and increase up to four rounds.
