Unlike other directors, Bharadwaj lets us to figure out everything yourself. This is what makes Kaminey an innovative and genuine movie. Kaminey is really a smart movie.

The movie's plot is so zig-zag that there is no point in describing it in full. It has to be watched to be felt. There is no other go.

Apart from the direction, another thing that sets the movie apart is the camera work. The entire movie was shot using a handheld movie camera but that does proper justice in bringing the characters to life.

In the movie, Shahid Kapoor plays the role of Guddu and Charlie. Guddu stutters and Charlie speaks with a lisp. Priyanka Chopra plays Sweety who speaks impressive Marathi. However, the real unconventional characters are Bhope Bhau (Amole Gupte), Mikhail (Chandan Roy Sanyal), Lobo (Shiv Subrahmanyan) and Tashi (Tenzing Nima). Though unfamiliar, these artists fill their characters with breathing life.

Each and every character in the movie is unique in some way. There is so much to marvel about these characters. At the same time, the characters are very funny in the way they go about their day-to-day lives. Apart from the characters and the camera work, the wordplay is what raises this movie above other movies in its genre.

Vishal Bharadwaj's inspiration from Quentin Tarantino's directional tactics becomes clearly evident as the movie progresses. QT exclusively uses his favourite music in his movies. Breaking tradition (Bharadwaj composes his own music), Bharadwaj uses a customized version of RD Burman's "Duniya mein logon ko" from Apna Desh in this movie.

Movies of this genre are usually full of characters who are dead or will be dying soon. However, Bharadwaj makes it impossible for us to get attached to any of these characters. By the end of the movie, we no longer feel any sentiment towards the characters.

In conclusion, this is worth watching movie. Bharadwaj has spun magic and definitely this movie is one of the best movies of the year...
