The character of Quick Gun Murugan was created way back in the 1990s. It was responsible for bringing catch phrases such as "Mind it" to everyone's mouth with the heavy baritone South-Indian accent. The movie brings the character to full length movie screens.

The villain--Rice Plate Reddy (played by Nasser) kidnaps the women who know the recipe to make the perfect dosa in an attempt to make the best dosa in the country. The movie potrays the crazy world where Quick Murugun, the South Indian cowboy is a super hero who fights against the villain.

Murugan does all he can do to protect the residents of the city from the bad guy. The battle between the hero and the villain begins in a small village in South India, then proceeds to Swarglok and then finally to Mumbai.This is all there is in the storyline but is funny as hell!

Shashanka Ghosh definitely needs a pat on his back coming up with such a novel yet funny idea. He manages to convince us that this is all junk, but then again all the mainstream movies are junk too with their meaningless storyline and "over-action" sequences.

On the acting part, Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Nasser have done their parts very well. Rambha who plays the blond character Mango Dolly does her role well too and so does Anu Menon. The remaining characters, their acting really deserves praise.

To conclude, the movie is every inch worth watching. Produced on a budget movie, this movie could well be the Sholay of our MTV generation.
