The convenient base near the national park is Jorhat and Guwahati of Assam. From there you can board a car or a jeep to enter the premises of the folklore of Kaziranga.

By Air: Nearest airport is at jorhat which is 97km away from Kaziranga while the airport at Guwahati is 217km away from the park. Both of them are well connected with the major cities of India and provides a good communication between the same.
By Rail: Furkating, the nearest rail connected junction which is 75 km away from the national park is well connected with Guwahati. Further, Guwahati is a place that is further well connected with the services throughout India. Being a tourist spot it is also linked with the Rajdhani and express trains. From the junction a trip to Kaziranga can be organised by cars, buses etc.
By Road: Kohora- The entrance is well connected with NH-37 and hence is an easy route by the roads approaching the park easily. There is further more travel ease for visitors to Kaziranga as many private buses reserve seats for the visitors specially. However, AC and non AC buses, both are available easily.
