Darjeeling is considered as a very exciting place to visit that is also called as the "Queen of the Hills". It is situated in the state of West Bengal in Eastern India. Tiger Hill


Tiger Hill is located at a height of 2590 metres (8482 ft.) and 13 kms away from the middle of Darjeeling. Tiger Hill is noted for the excellent view of the sunrise from "Kanchenjunga" and the great Eastern Himalayan Mountains. Besides Mt. Everest, the world's highest mountain can be viewed at its best from this place.

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute

Situated about two kms away from the market place of Darjeeling, is the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, constructed after Mt. Everest was taken over in 1954 AD by the then prime minister of independent India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The historical institute has a exuberant Everest Museum and imparts few mountaineering and extreme sports courses. Located on Jawahar Parvat, the institute is noted for its exclusive range of mountaineering equipment and adventurous locations.

Bhutia Busti

Within the backdrop of the Kanchenjunga, at Chowrasta on C.R. Das Road, Butia Busti is a scenic monastery. Actually, a sub domain of the Nygmapa sect’s, Phodang Monastery (Sikkim), it was returned to Darjeeling in 1879 AD and was located on the Observatory Hill. An ancient library of Buddhist manuscripts is there upstairs.

Batasia Loop

Lloyds Botanical Garden

Lloyds Botanical Garden consist a wide range of Himalayan flora, saplings, orchids etc. Lloyd's Botanical Garden reflects a vibrant display of Himalayan fauna for people who are naturists by heart. The streamline of this scenic botanical garden is the double celebrity living fossils known as the Phantom.

Lebong Race Course

The Lebong Race Course is known to be as the world’s elevated race courses. Furnished out in 1885 AD, as a parade ground, the entire round of the race course is scaled to be 480 yards long.

Ghoom Monastery


Ghoom is exactly six kms away from the central town of Darjeeling. The hillock is graced with the celebrated Yiga Choeling Monastery and a 4.5-metre huge image of the Maitreya Buddha. Ghoom, is at a height of 2407 m, offers a grand view of the entire Valley.

Tea Gardens


Being in Darjeeling, touring the tea gardens that produce the Darjeeling tea called for its unique taste is an enthusiastic decision. By Air: The closest airport to Darjeeling is Bagdogra that is almost 94-96 kms from Darjeeling. There are exact flight connections with Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati.

By Train: The biggest railway station near is at New Jalpaiguri, which is almost about 95 km away from Darjeeling. Every train going towards Guwahati has to connect to New Jalpaiguri.

By Road:  Properly-established roads pave way from Darjeeling to the rest of the places in and across West Bengal. The state possesses buses that are constantly plied between Darjeeling and these locations. Siliguri, Bagdogra, Gangtok, Kurseong and Kathmandu are swiftly connected to Darjeeling through roadways.
